Answer:

The Day of Judgment is a fundamental belief of Islam and understanding its purpose is essential for every Muslim. The Day of Judgment is mentioned repeatedly in the Quran and Hadith, which describe in detail the reality, wisdom, and purpose of this day.

The meaning and reality of the Resurrection:

Qiyamah is an Arabic word meaning to be raised or resurrected. According to Islamic belief, the Day of Judgment will be the day when Allah Almighty will destroy the entire universe and resurrect all humans. And will take account of their deeds.

Allah says in the Quran: And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in play. We created them only with truth, but most people do not know.

(Surah Al-Dukkahn, Verse 38-39 )

This verse shows that this world was not created without a purpose, but rather has a specific purpose, and the Day of Judgment will be the day of fulfillment of that purpose.

The purpose of the Day of Judgment:

In the world, people do good and evil deeds, but not everyone here always gets the full reward for their deeds. The Day of Judgment will be established so that every person will be judged according to his deeds.

Allah says in the Quran: “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.”

(Surah Al-Zalzalah, verse 7-8)

This verse makes it clear that the Day of Judgment will be a day of retribution for every deed, whether good or bad.

There are oppressors and oppressed, good and bad, in the world. Sometimes the oppressor does not receive punishment in this world, while the oppressed leaves this world without justice. The Day of Judgment will be a manifestation of Allah's justice where everyone will be given their due.

Allah says in the Quran: And We will set up the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then no one will be wronged even the weight of an atom. And if there is a deed equal to the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it to pass, and We are sufficient to take account.”

(Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 47)

This verse tells us that Allah's justice will be perfect and no one will be able to escape his deeds.

Sometimes in the world there is no difference between good and bad people, but rather the bad people achieve more success. On the Day of Judgment, this difference will be clear and each person's true position will be determined.

Allah says in the Quran: Do those who do evil deeds think that We will make them equal to those who believe and do good deeds? Will their life and death be the same? What a terrible decision these people are making.

(Surah Al-Jathiyah, verse 21)

This verse explains that the purpose of the Day of Judgment is to distinguish between good and evil with justice.

On the Day of Judgment, Allah will judge the final fate of His servants according to their deeds. The righteous will go to heaven and the sinners to hell.

Allah says in the Quran: One group will be in Paradise and another group will be in Hell.

(Surah Ash-Shura, verse 7)

This verse points to the greatest decision of the Day of Judgment, that each person will go to heaven or hell forever according to their deeds.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “You will certainly deliver your rights to their families on the Day of Resurrection, even a horned goat will be taken revenge for a hornless goat.”

(Sahih Muslim 2582)

This hadith states that the Day of Judgment will be for giving every deserving person their full right.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “On the Day of Judgment, all nations will be called and their deeds will be testified against.”

(Sahih Bukhari 7349)

This hadith shows that the Day of Judgment will be the day of judgment for the deeds of all nations.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The first case on the Day of Judgment will be about blood, that is, murder.”

(Sahih Muslim, 1678)

This hadith emphasizes that the first thing that will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be human rights.

Note:

The Day of Judgment is not just an culmination, but the day of the completion of Allah's justice and fairness. Its main purpose is to reward each person for their deeds, to clarify the difference between right and wrong, and to send the righteous to heaven and the sinners to hell.

We should live our lives in such a way that we can be exalted before Allah on the Day of Judgment.
